Colorado Ribbons is a very striking basket that is
woven with 3 ply waxed linen, velvet thread, glass
& fire polished beads and embellished with
variegated silk ribbons from it's top rim. It
measures 2-1/2" high and 3-3/4" across at it's
widest point. The opening is 2" across. The
design in the bottom is done with linen and velvet
thread and beads are on the weaver. The beads on
the sides slide on to the spokes and the patterns of
beads create the accentuated puckers near the top
of the basket. There are 80 spokes, also of waxed
linen. This basket is for the more advanced weaver
because of the smaller thread and the shaping.
