Basket is twined with 2 ply waxed linen thread and silk
variegated thread. The silk thread is many shades of
browns, from Victorian rose to black. The silk colors are
hand-painted with dye. Each of the loops on the bottom of
the basket has a bead on it. They are each put in place,
one by one as the basket is woven. The basket is firm to be
woven of such tiny thread. The basket has 80 spokes, each
of 2 ply waxed linen. The basket measures 1-7/8" high and
2-1/8" across at it's widest point. The flared top measures
1-11/16" across. It took approximately 15 hours to weave
the basket and it is a one of a kind.
